The United Nations (UN) Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) has decided that the violence perpetrated by AntiFa, Black Lives Matter (BLM), and the Ku Klux Klan in Charlottesville, Virginia calls for a revision of the U.S. Constitution, specifically the elimination of the First Amendment. To be clear, CERD does not want to eliminate free speech for radical leftist groups such as AntiFa and BLM; it wants the U.S. to put restrictions on speech that it considers offensive to people of “African descent, ethnic or religious minorities, and migrants.” What is behind the UN’s statement on the events that took place in Charlottesville?
The CERD called on the U.S. government to “ensure that the rights to freedom of expression, association, and peaceful assembly are not exercised with the aim of destroying or denying the rights and freedoms of others,” and asked the government to provide guarantees to prevent the misuse of the right to free speech. How do you suppose a government regulates and polices free speech? The only option for restricting free speech is to devise and implement a speech code, then empower authorities to enforce the code, which would have to include punishment for those who violate the penal code. The First Amendment is problematic for the UN because it provides too much freedom; the UN wants less freedom and more conformity to globalism. The CERD wants ideological fascism under the guise of the radical leftist buzzwords of “tolerance” and “dignity.”
How serious is the CERD about eliminating discrimination based on race, ethnicity, and religion; it isn’t.
The 18-member UN committee’s membership roll includes people from countries ruled by Islamists, communists, and brutal dictators. For instance, Yemhelhe Mohamed is from Mauritania, an Islamist African nation where black people are openly enslaved mostly by Arab Muslims and Berbers. Communist China is also on the committee. China’s communist dictators have murdered tens of millions of individuals, including the ongoing cultural genocide in Tibet. Other countries that have and continue to kill people based on their race, ethnicity, and religion are also on the CERD, including Turkey, Pakistan, and Algeria.
The UN’s mission doesn’t include anything that doesn’t serve its purpose of installing itself as the government that rules the world. Press releases by UN bureaucrats are propaganda designed to curry favor with groups that might willingly submit to UN rule once the world body can eliminate sovereign nations. Statements by the UN condemning racism, religious persecution or any other form of discrimination are meaningless because the people who draft the reports are fascists, communists, and Islamists guilty of evil acts?
The CERD’s message to the U.S. to neuter the First Amendment is another attack on the U.S. Constitution by leftists who view the document as an obstruction to transforming America from a government of the people, by the people, for the people to a mere landmass inhabited by citizens of the world ruled by one world government of self-proclaimed global elites.
